Data Migration Lead

Key Responsibilities

Data migration Planning & Strategy :

- Develop the overall data migration strategy, scope, and roadmap in alignment with program objectives and timelines.

- Collaborate with business, IT, and external partners to define data requirements, mapping rules, and transformation logic.

- Identify data sources and assess readiness, quality, and potential risks

Execution & Delivery :

- Lead the end-to-end execution of data migration activities across all project phases: extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), validation, and reconciliation.

- Manage migration of master data, transactional data, and historical records from legacy systems to the target platform.

- Coordinate with functional and technical teams to validate and test data in the target system.

- Implement automated and repeatable data migration processes

Data Quality and Governance :

- Define and enforce data quality rules, cleansing standards, and validation procedures.

- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of migrated data with regulatory and audit standards.

- Coordinate data reconciliation, defect tracking, and issue resolution processes

- Documentation and Support

Required Qualifications :

- 10+ yrs of experience in data migration, data integration, or data management roles.

- Proven experience leading at least one full-cycle data migration for a major ERP, HCM, or CRM implementation

- Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, BAAN etc.

- Experience with Data migration tools

- Strong understanding of data modelling, master data management (MDM), and data governance.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
