As a Data Lead at NxtWave, you will be responsible for driving data analytics initiatives end-to-end - from translating business requirements into analytical frameworks to delivering impactful insights that influence decision-making across a business unit. Youll define metrics, design scalable data models, and mentor a team of analysts to ensure consistent, high-quality analytics delivery. This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on problem-solving, playing a key part in building automation, standardization, and self-serve analytics across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead end-to-end analytics projects - from problem definition and data collection to insight generation and visualization.

- Mentor and guide a team of data analysts to deliver accurate, actionable, and timely reports and dashboards.

- Define, track, and improve key business metrics (KPIs) in alignment with organizational goals.

- Collaborate with business, product, engineering, and operations teams to gather requirements and ensure data-driven execution.

- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance through structured validation and documentation.

- Recommend improvements in data collection methods and strengthen data pipelines.

- Automate recurring reports and develop self-serve dashboards to reduce manual dependencies.

- Translate data insights into clear business narratives and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

- Stay current with modern tools, technologies, and analytical methodologies.

- Take ownership of team deliverables, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Competencies :

- Strong command of SQL, with the ability to handle large and complex datasets efficiently.

- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift).

- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.

- Strong understanding of data modeling, KPI design, and metric standardization.

- Experience with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt) and workflow automation.

- Solid understanding of statistics and experience analyzing data in Python or Excel/Google Sheets.

- Strong data storytelling and visualization skills to communicate insights clearly.

- Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts (hands-on experience is a plus).

- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.

- Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading junior analysts.

Qualifications & Experience :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering,or related fields.

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles.

- Strong proficiency in English and professional communication skills.
