Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Informatica and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, optimize data warehouses, and implement best practices for data quality, governance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Informatica and GCP-native tools.

- Build and optimize data warehouses on BigQuery or equivalent platforms (e.g., Snowflake or Redshift on GCP).

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation, analysis, and reporting.

- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

- Implement data governance, security, and monitoring best practices across GCP projects.

- Perform query tuning and performance optimization on large-scale datasets.

- Automate workflows using Cloud Composer (Airflow) or similar orchestration tools.

- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance across all systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4-7 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Development roles.

- Strong expertise in ETL development using Informatica.

- Advanced SQL skills - capable of writing optimized, scalable, and complex queries.

- Hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Composer.

- Proficiency in data modeling (star/snowflake schema), partitioning, clustering, and performance tuning in data warehouse environments.

- Familiarity with modern ELT/ETL tools like dbt, Fivetran, or Cloud Data Fusion.

- Experience with Python or similar scripting languages for automation and data transformation.

- Solid understanding of data governance, privacy, and security best practices in cloud environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines.

- Exposure to Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.

- Knowledge of machine learning data pipelines or data lake architectures.
