Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer who can work independently on data pipeline development, troubleshooting, and optimisation tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, hands-on experience with Databricks, and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. You will be responsible for building and maintaining reliable data workflows, supporting analytical teams, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and accessible data across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Build, optimise, and troubleshoot SQL queries, transformations, and Databricks data processes.
- Work with large datasets to deliver efficient, reliable, and high-performing data solutions.
- Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to support data requirements.
- Ensure data quality, availability, and security across systems and workflows.
- Monitor pipeline performance, diagnose issues, and implement improvements.
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices for data engineering processes.
Ideal Candidate :
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role (3+ years).
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing and optimising complex queries.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering tasks.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modelling, and pipeline orchestration.
- Familiarity with Power BI and data integration with BI tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Experience working end-to-end on data engineering workflows and solutions.
