Data Engineer - Azure/Microsoft Fabric

We are hiring for a mid-level Data Engineer role with a leading investment management firm focused on building scalable analytics platforms.

The role involves owning data pipelines, transformation logic, and reporting datasets within a cloud-based Microsoft Fabric environment.

You will work closely with senior engineers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions for analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and maintain scalable ELT/ETL data pipelines in a cloud environment

- Develop and optimise data models, transformations, and reporting datasets

- Manage pipeline orchestration using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools

- Ensure data quality, monitoring, and reliability of pipelines

- Design and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and semantic models

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate analytics requirements into data solutions

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- 4 to 8 years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering

- Strong proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python

- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)

- Experience with Power BI, including semantic layer and reporting

- Solid understanding of data modelling, partitioning, and incremental loads
- Prior exposure to financial services or investment data is a plus
