Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of our enterprise data architecture.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in data modeling, modern data platforms, and cloud-based data ecosystems.

You will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy, ensuring data quality, scalability, and governance across multiple systems and departments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement enterprise-level data architectures that support analytics, business intelligence, and operational systems.

- Define data standards, principles, and architecture best practices across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

- Create and maintain logical and physical data models, metadata, and data lineage documentation.

- Develop data integration strategies across multiple platforms including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data consumers to align architecture with business goals.

- Lead the evaluation and implementation of data platforms, tools, and technologies (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, streaming, ETL/ELT).

- Ensure data solutions are scalable, high-performing, secure, and cost-effective.

- Provide architectural guidance to development, analytics, and data engineering teams.

- Stay current with emerging trends in data architecture, governance, and AI/ML enablement.

- Define and enforce data governance policies, security, and compliance standards.

- Work with Data Governance and Compliance teams to implement data classification, masking, retention, and privacy controls.

- Champion data quality and stewardship initiatives across the organization.

Must-Have Skills & Experience :

- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles

- Expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and data normalization/denormalization

- Strong command over SQL, NoSQL, and distributed data systems

- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, etc.)

- Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, data orchestration tools (Airflow, DBT, Informatica, Talend)

- Familiarity with streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink)

- Experience with data governance frameworks and security best practices

- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or similar languages used in data processing

- Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, metadata management, and data catalogs

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field

Nice to Have :

- Certifications : AWS/GCP/Azure Data Architect, CDMP, TOGAF

- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare)

- Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines and feature stores

- Knowledge of Graph databases or time-series databases
