Position Summary :

The Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in applying advanced analytical, statistical, and optimization techniques for decision-making across the Staples Supply Chain.

This role is central to driving the next generation of supply chain analytics supporting the integration of traditional data science with emerging AI-driven automation and decision intelligence capabilities.

The individual will help accelerate Staples' evolution toward a highly intelligent, scalable, and agent-enabled analytics ecosystem, unlocking greater efficiency, agility, and business value.

Key Responsibilities :

- Participate and contribute to core supply chain functions such as Inventory planning, Network and Capacity planning, Transportation optimization, Labor Planning, as well as Warehouse operations.

- Build predictive and prescriptive models using structured and unstructured data to drive visibility and improvement in operational performance.

- Collaborate closely with planning and operations focused stakeholders to drive actionable insights.

- Create and monitor supply chain metrics to drive optimization of the Staples Supply Chain and improvement in performance.

- Develop dashboards and automated reports using BI tools.

- Design and develop AI-powered agents and LLM-based workflows.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors' degree in a quantitative field such as Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or any other highly quantitative discipline.

- Around 3+ years' experience in the Supply Chain Logistics domain is highly desirable.

- Master's degree is preferred.

Technical Skills :

- Fluent in programming languages : Python and SQL (highly desirable).

- Data visualization tools : Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.

- Cloud and data platforms : Snowflake, SQL server or similar.

- Familiarity with other statistical and scripting languages.

- Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable).

- Familiarity with Machine learning, statistical modeling and optimization libraries.

- Experience or exposure to LLMs and Generative AI (Azure OpenAI, LangChain, etc.).
