Job Overview :

We are seeking a Data Analyst with strong experience in enterprise data archiving, metadata management, and structured/unstructured data handling. The role focuses on managing archival data platforms, ensuring data integrity, compliance with archival standards, and supporting automation and migration initiatives across on-premise and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to OpenText InfoArchive or similar archiving platforms, strong database skills, and a solid understanding of data formats, metadata schemas, and cloud-based storage architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Archiving & Platform Management :

- Work with OpenText InfoArchive or similar enterprise archiving platforms to manage and maintain archived data.

- Support ingestion, validation, storage, and retrieval of archived datasets.

- Ensure archival processes comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

- Monitor archival workflows and resolve data quality or integrity issues.

Data Formats & Archival Standards :

- Handle and validate multiple data formats including TXT, XML, JSON, PDF/A, DOCX.

- Ensure compliance with archival and preservation standards such as :

1. OAIS (Open Archival Information System)

2. METS

3. PREMIS

- Assist in long-term digital preservation and lifecycle management of archived content.

Metadata Management :

- Design, implement, and maintain metadata schemas for effective indexing, search, and retrieval.

- Manage metadata repositories and ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

- Support metadata mapping and transformation during data migrations.

Database & Query Management :

- Use SQL and NoSQL databases to manage metadata, indexing, and audit information.

- Write optimized queries for data validation, reporting, and reconciliation.

- Support performance tuning and data integrity checks related to archival systems.

Automation & Scripting :

- Develop and maintain scripts using Python and/or Bash to automate :

1. Data migration workflows

2. Validation and reconciliation processes

3. Archival batch operations

- Improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention through automation.

Cloud & Storage Architecture :

- Work with cloud storage architectures, including tiered storage models.

- Manage data across hot, warm, and cold storage tiers.

- Support archival solutions using AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Glacier).

- Assist with cloud-based data migrations and storage optimization.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to gather archival requirements.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for archival processes, metadata models, and workflows.

- Support audits, compliance reviews, and data discovery requests.

Required Technical Skills :

- Experience with OpenText InfoArchive or similar enterprise archiving platforms (mandatory or strong asset)

- Hands-on experience with enterprise archiving solutions

- Strong understanding of data formats and archival standards

- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases

- Experience with metadata schema design and management

- Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash

- Familiarity with cloud storage architectures and tiered storage

- Exposure to AWS cloud technologies

Education :

- Exposure to regulatory requirements for data retention

- Experience working in large-scale enterprise systems
