Data Analyst/Engineer - Geoinformatics

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Spatial/GIS Data Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geoinformatics and demonstrated experience in handling spatial data. This role involves scoping spatial data for various domains, onboarding and managing spatial/GIS datasets using python for automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Identify and evaluate spatial data requirements for various projects.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements.

- Conduct thorough analyses of spatial datasets for relevance and accuracy.

- Prepare spatial data for system integration by implementing data transformation and cleaning

- Develop and maintain Python scripts for automating spatial data tasks.

- Work with software teams to convey spatial data requirements and translate complex spatial data concepts for team members.

- Provide technical support on spatial data issues.

- Document data processes, methodologies, and workflows.

- Stay updated with advancements in geoinformatics and spatial technologies.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geoinformatics, GIS, Geography, or a related field

- Strong working knowledge of Python for data processing and analysis with libraries like geopandas, rasterio, gdal.

- Proficiency in integrating, and managing REST APIs for efficient spatial data access and manipulation.

- Experience with GIS software and tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
