About the Role :

This role plays a critical part in the migration of analytical workloads from Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), acting as a key analytical SME to ensure data accuracy, historical continuity, and business adoption on the new platform. The focus is on practical analytics, insight generation, and enabling business decision-making, rather than pure data engineering or modeling.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform deep-dive data analysis to extract actionable insights and support business decision-making.

- Migrate legacy analytical queries, reporting logic, and dashboards from Azure to GCP.

- Explore and analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.

- Conduct historical data analysis to identify trends and support forecasting and planning e- orts.

- Perform root-cause analysis for data discrepancies, reporting issues, and anomalies.

- Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or similar tools.

- Communicate insights through clear data storytelling, visual narratives, and business context.

- Partner with data engineers and data scientists to ensure data consistency and analytical readiness.

- Provide training and support to business users on GCP data capabilities and reporting tools.

- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives by providing analytical expertise and domain insights.

- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness through validation and quality checks.

- Follow and promote best practices in analytics, reporting standards, and governance.

GCP Technology Stack :

- Programming : Advanced SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy)

- GCP Analytics : BigQuery, Cloud Storage

- Visualization : Power BI or Looker

- Migration Context : Familiarity with Azure data services (ADF, Synapse, SQL DB)

- Experience working with large datasets and enterprise reporting platforms

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field

- Typically 5- 8 years of relevant experience in analytics, BI, or data analysis roles

- Proven experience delivering end-to-end analytical solutions, from data exploration to visualization
