The Opportunity : Driving Business Strategy with Data
We are looking for a sharp and insightful Data Analyst / BI Specialist to lead the analysis of all our event data.
This role is central to understanding our audience, evaluating marketing campaign effectiveness, and providing actionable intelligence to the Management, Sales, and Marketing teams.
You will be the storyteller of our data.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
- Data Extraction & Transformation (ETL) : Extract data from various sources, including our CRM (Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics), visitor registration systems, event apps, and website analytics (Google Analytics).
- Clean, transform, and model this data for analysis.
- Report & Dashboard Creation : Design, develop, and maintain automated Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards (e.g., in Power BI or Tableau) to track key event performance indicators (KPIs) like visitor growth, exhibitor retention, revenue targets, and marketing ROI.
- Performance Analysis : Conduct deep-dive analysis on pre- and post-show data to identify trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities. Present findings on visitor demographics, geo-targeting success, and channel effectiveness.
- Ad-Hoc Business Insight : Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to fulfill specific analytical requests, such as target market sizing, sales pipeline forecasting, and customized reports for global headquarters.
- Data Quality Assurance : Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all data used for decision-making across the organization.
Candidate Requirements :
Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience : 3+ years of professional experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or a similar role, preferably in an E-commerce, SaaS, or Events-based environment.
Technical Expertise :
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Proven experience developing and managing interactive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel for quick-turnaround analysis and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and digital marketing metrics (PPC, SEO, Social).
- Experience working with large datasets from CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
Soft Skills :
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative reasoning skills.
- Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable business recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
