Summary :

Customer Application Development is seeking a highly motivated Power BI Developer to join our dynamic software development team. This role offers a unique opportunity to design and build impactful reports that support the firms critical business operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and analysts to deliver insightful, user-friendly dashboards and visualizations. This position is based in our Mumbai office and requires working in either from 1 to 10 PM IST or New York Shift (6 :00 PM to 3 :00 AM IST) Rotation basis

Key Responsibilities :

- Partner with end users and business analysts to design and develop custom BI dashboards, metrics, and reports.

- Deliver complete dashboard solutions including development, unit testing, bug fixes, and report design.

- Write and optimize queries using SQL, DAX, and M-Query to manipulate and analyze data from various sources.

- Apply best practices in data modeling, including star and snowflake schema design.

- Own end-to-end development within the Power BI ecosystem.

- Implement and manage Power BI deployment pipelines and version control.

- Work extensively with Power BI Dataflows and prepare for integration with Microsoft Fabric.

- Ensure adherence to project quality standards and automated deployment processes.

- Document all report-related activities including specifications, development, testing, and support.

- Manage report subscriptions and automate report generation and distribution.

- Create intuitive visualizations, charts, and tables for self-service reporting.

Preferred Skills & Experience :

- Experience with Power BI Paginated Reports / SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

- Familiarity with external tools such as Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, and ALM Toolkit.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Pipelines.

- Exposure to Power BI Embedded and custom visual development.

- Prior experience in the finance industry is a plus.

- Incremental Refresh & Partitioning : familiarity with these advanced modeling techniques, which are essential for handling large datasets efficiently.

- Query Folding : understanding of how Power BI interacts with data sources, which affects performance and refresh logic.

- DAX : His knowledge of DAX to be more than basic, to write complex measures or optimizing calculations.

- Power BI Service : He should not have limited exposure to the cloud-based features of Power BI
