What You Will Be Doing

We are recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will be focusing on back-end server-side development and working on our custom-built data storage engine and platform.

This product is the heart of the CrashPlan business and involves working with code that processes Petabytes of data every da.

Day in the Life

- Designing and implementing code for assigned projects, both independently and with teammates, considering needs for monitoring, supportability, and testabili.

- Writing unit and integration tests for your team's co.

- Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting across the CrashPlan technology sta.

- Documenting code and design and reviewing code and design docs from othe.

- Demoing progress on team deliverabl.

- Participating in story mapping and sizing sessions for small to medium-size product featur.

- Synthesizing requirements into cohesive designs, identifying gaps and contradictio.

- Helping to mentor and guide more junior sta.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline and/or equivalent experience

- 5+ years of experience working in a similar role, including experience with object-oriented development, testing frameworks used in JVM development platforms, and/or experience with data repository technologies

- Experience working Java Spring boot, SQL, MongoDB and microservice architectures Demonstrated experience with continuous integration and deployment (CICD) concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AWS services Worked and/or contributed to open-source software.
