We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Couchbase Database Administrator (DBA) to design, implement, secure, and maintain our high-performance NoSQL database infrastructure.

In this role, you will be responsible for the health, scalability, and availability of our enterprise Couchbase clusters.

You will work closely with development, DevOps, and system engineering teams to optimize data models, automate deployments, and ensure seamless data synchronization across multi-cloud or hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Cluster Management : Provision, configure, tune, and maintain multi-node Couchbase clusters across production, staging, and development environments.

- Performance Tuning : Optimize Couchbase performance by monitoring and tuning memory quotas, indexing strategies (GSI), N1QL/SQL++ queries, and compaction processes.

- High Availability & DR : Implement and manage Cross-Data Center Replication (XDCR), backup routines, and rapid recovery procedures to ensure zero data loss and maximum uptime.

- Security & Compliance : Enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), manage TLS/SSL certificates, encryption at rest/in transit, and ensure compliance with industry security standards.

- Monitoring & Alerts : Set up and maintain proactive monitoring dashboards and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Couchbase Server metrics.

- Automation & DevOps : Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts for deployments and upgrades using Ansible, Terraform, or Couchbase Autonomous Operator for Kubernetes.

- Developer Collaboration : Guide software engineering teams on NoSQL data modeling best practices, bucket/scope/collection architecture, and efficient query design.

- Upgrades & Migrations : Plan and execute seamless, zero-downtime Couchbase cluster upgrades, patches, and data migration strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : Minimum of 3- 5 years of hands-on experience specifically managing enterprise-level Couchbase Server environments.

- NoSQL Architecture : Deep understanding of NoSQL concepts, document-oriented databases (JSON), and Couchbase internal architecture (Data, Index, Query, Search, and Eventing services).

- Query & Indexing : Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex N1QL / SQL++ queries, understanding explain plans, and designing optimal indexes.

- Operating Systems : Strong command of Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting (Bash), and system performance troubleshooting.

- Cloud & Containerization : Experience deploying Couchbase on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and working with Docker or Kubernetes.
