We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer - 3 (Python) to design, develop, and scale high-performance backend systems and services.

The role requires deep expertise in Python, strong system design skills, and the ability to work on complex, distributed systems while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

Backend Development & System Design :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python.

- Build robust microservices and distributed systems with high availability and performance.

- Participate in system architecture and design discussions.

- Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.

Application Development & Optimization :

- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code.

- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Debug complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.

- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.

Data & Integration :

- Design and work with databases (SQL and NoSQL).

- Develop integrations with third-party services and internal systems.

- Handle asynchronous processing, background jobs, and message queues.

Collaboration & Leadership :

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams.

- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

- Support Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Technical Skills & Competencies :

Core Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming.

- Experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.

- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Hands-on experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

- Experience with caching (Redis, Memcached) and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.

Good to Have :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Exposure to event-driven architectures.

- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

Education & Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
