Role :Backend Engineer (NodeJS + TypeScript + Databases)
We are looking for a Backend Engineer with 34 years of experience to join our team at Convert Cart. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with data, solving problems, and writing clean, scalable code.
What youll work on :
- Working deeply with databases - writing complex queries, optimising performance, and designing efficient schemas (SQL required, NoSQL is a plus).
- Designing and scaling APIs (REST/GraphQL).
- Writing clean, testable code and keeping performance in mind.
- Using AI-powered coding tools (like Windsurf, Copilot, etc.) to move faster and smarter.
What were looking for :
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript and NodeJS (must have).
- 3 - 4 years of backend development experience (preferred).
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Curious and eager to keep learning new tools and technologies.
Familiarity with modern engineering practices :
- CI/CD pipelines.
- Docker and cloud platforms.
Bonus : Experience with caching (Redis), message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), or serverless functions.
