Job Description : Senior macOS Endpoint Agent Engineer

Experience : 8+ years in Software Engineering and 5+ years building macOS endpoint security products

Educational background : ideally from tier 1 or tier 2 colleges

The Opportunity :

Concentric AI is seeking a Senior macOS Endpoint Agent Engineer to design, develop, and scale the macOS endpoint agent for our DLP platform.

This role will be responsible for building enterprise-grade capabilities that provide visibility and protection for sensitive data across endpoints, Gen AI desktop applications, removable media, and enterprise workflows.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing endpoint security products at companies such as Netskope, Symantec, Broadcom, Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Forcepoint, Trellix, Palo Alto Networks, Carbon Black, or Zscaler.

This role will partner closely with the Principal Architect and engineering teams to build a market-leading endpoint agent from the ground up.

Coding Ability :

- Defines and enforces coding standards for the team

Technical Ability & Troubleshooting :

- Subject-matter expert in core technologies, guiding team adoption of tools and frameworks while adapting designs to evolving landscapes

- Anticipates recurring issues, designs automation or processes to prevent them, and supports teammates in resolving complex problems.

Design & Architecture :

- Owns the design of large projects in team

- Ensures reliability, scalability, and security

- Introduces reusable design patterns

- Reviews and approves significant designs across the team.

Execution & Delivery :

- Owns the execution of significant deliverables

- Ensures work meets quality, performance, and reliability standards

- Proactively identifies risks or gaps in area of ownership and resolves issues that could impact personal or team deliverables.

Tech Leadership & Innovation :

- Provides technical leadership within the team, guiding engineers, upholding high standards, and delivering innovations that improve team productivity and business outcomes.

Communication & Documentation :

- Conveys technical decisions, strategy and rationale across multiple teams

- Presents designs, trade-offs, and risks clearly

- Ensures documentation is accessible and actionable for cross-team use.

Coordination & Collaboration :

- Coordinates work across multiple team members

- Ensures dependencies are identified and managed

- Helps resolves technical or process blockers that affect team collaboration.

What You'll Do :

Build macOS Endpoint Agent Capabilities :

Design and develop agent components for :

- Monitoring data going to AI Desktop applications

- Sensitive data monitoring and protection

- File activity monitoring

- Clipboard protection

- Data exfiltration prevention

- USB and removable media controls

- Endpoint data discovery and classification

- Policy enforcement and remediation workflows

Develop Core macOS Security Components :

Build and maintain :

- Endpoint Security Framework integrations

- System Extensions

- Network Extensions

- File and process monitoring services

- Local policy enforcement engines

- Secure cloud-connected agent services

- Device management integrations

Performance and Enterprise Scale :

- Optimize agent performance and resource utilization

- Troubleshoot OS-level issues and stability challenges

- Support large-scale enterprise deployments

- Develop installation, upgrade, and rollback mechanisms

- Integrate with enterprise endpoint management solutions such as Jamf and Intune

Required Qualifications :

- 8+ years of software engineering experience

- 5+ years building macOS endpoint security products

- Proven experience developing enterprise-scale endpoint agents

- Deep expertise in one or more of :

1. Endpoint DLP

2. EDR

3. XDR

4. Endpoint Protection Platforms

- Strong systems programming background

- Expertise in C++, Objective-C, Swift, Rust, or similar low-level languages

- Hands-on experience with :

1. Endpoint Security Framework

2. System Extensions

3. Network Extensions

4. TCC Permissions

5. Launch Services

6. Device Management Integrations

- Experience designing cloud-connected endpoint security solutions

- Strong understanding of macOS internals
