Commerce Tools Developer - React.js/Next.js

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CommerceTools Developer to join our growing digital commerce team. You will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance eCommerce solutions using CommerceTools, React, and Next.js.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will contribute to architecting headless commerce solutions that provide seamless, user-friendly experiences across platforms.

This is a high-impact role ideal for developers who are passionate about composable commerce, microservices, and modern front-end frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Integrate frontend applications with CommerceTools APIs to manage products, carts, orders, and customer data.

- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product owners to deliver high-quality eCommerce experiences.

- Customize and extend CommerceTools functionality through API-driven architecture and third-party integrations.

- Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness across devices and browsers.

- Ensure secure and scalable coding practices, adhering to modern software engineering standards.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.

- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and contribute to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.

- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in headless commerce, JAMstack, and frontend development.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Experience in working with product catalog, order management, cart and checkout flows using CommerceTools.

- Strong proficiency in React.js and Next.js.

- In-depth understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.

- Experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

- Familiarity with headless CMSs, search engines (e.g., Algolia), and third-party payment providers is a plus.
