We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Magento Developer with 48 years of hands-on expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the Magento 2 platform, with a deep understanding of its core architecture and the ability to design and develop complex e-commerce solutions. This role is crucial for our transition to a headless commerce architecture, requiring significant experience in building and integrating custom REST/GraphQL APIs with modern frontends.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain custom REST/GraphQL APIs for a headless frontend, ensuring seamless data flow for product catalogs, checkout processes, and user management.

- Lead and perform end-to-end Magento 2.x version upgrades, including code and module compatibility checks, data migration, and post-upgrade testing.

- Integrate the Magento platform with a wide range of external systems, including ERP, CRM, logistics providers, and payment gateways using custom modules and Magento's Web API.

- Write efficient, reusable, and secure Magento modules and services that strictly adhere to Magento's coding standards, leveraging concepts like dependency injection, service contracts, and repositories.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues within the Magento platform, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.

- Optimize the application for performance by tuning database queries, implementing caching strategies (Varnish, Redis), and utilizing performance monitoring tools.

- Utilize command-line interface (CLI) tools and Git for version control, code deployment, and collaboration within a team environment.

- Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4 to 8 years of professional experience in Magento development.

- A deep understanding of the Magento 2 framework, including its module structure, core architecture, and key business logic.

- Strong proficiency in PHP 7/8, with solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and common design patterns.

- Proven expertise in designing and developing REST and GraphQL APIs.

- Hands-on experience in integrating Magento with external systems like ERPs and payment gateways.

- The ability to write and optimize MySQL queries.

- Familiarity with the Magento CLI, Composer, and Git.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with a headless commerce architecture and a modern frontend framework like React or Next.js.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Knowledge of containerization using Docker.

- Magento 2 Certified Developer or other relevant certifications.

- Hands-on experience with performance optimization tools like New Relic or Blackfire.
