About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Lead Oracle PL/SQL Development with strong expertise in Oracle Database development, performance optimization, and enterprise application support. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex PL/SQL solutions while leading technical teams and ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance database applications. The role requires strong technical leadership, database architecture knowledge, performance tuning expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional application teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex Oracle PL/SQL solutions.

- Develop and optimize database objects including :

1. PL/SQL Packages

2. Procedures

3. Functions

4. Triggers

5. Tables

6. Collections

7. Views

- Architect and optimize Oracle database solutions ensuring performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.

- Review database designs, data models, SQL queries, and PL/SQL code to maintain quality standards.

- Perform advanced SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning using :

1. Execution Plans

2. Indexing Strategies

3. Query Optimization Techniques

4. Oracle Performance Tools

- Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.

- Guide and mentor junior developers by conducting code reviews and enforcing best practices.

- Collaborate with application development teams including Java, .NET, and other technologies for database integrations.

- Manage data migration, transformation, and archival activities.

- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

- Ensure database security, data integrity, and compliance standards.

- Participate in sprint planning, effort estimation, solution discussions, and technical decision-making.

- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience :

Oracle PL/SQL Development :

- 10+ years of strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL Development.

- Expertise in designing and developing complex database solutions.

Database Performance Optimization :

- Strong expertise in SQL Query Optimization, PL/SQL Performance Tuning, Execution Plan Analysis, Index Optimization, Database Troubleshooting, and Performance Bottleneck Resolution.

Database Design & Architecture :

- Experience with Database Design, Data Modelling, Data Architecture, Schema Design, and Database Optimization.

Technical Leadership :

- Experience leading database development teams.

- Ability to mentor developers and conduct technical reviews.

- Strong understanding of coding standards and database best practices.

- Ability to make technical design decisions.

Application Integration :

- Experience working with Java Applications, .NET Applications, Enterprise Application Integration, and Data Exchange Processes.

Data Management :

- Hands-on experience in Data Migration, Data Transformation, Data Archival, Data Validation, and Data Quality Management.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology.

- Exposure to enterprise-level applications.

- Knowledge of CI/CD processes is an advantage.
