Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Azure Migration Lead to drive cloud transformation initiatives, with expertise in Azure architecture, migration strategy, cloud infrastructure, security, governance, and application modernization.

The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end migration of applications, databases, and infrastructure from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.

The role requires strong technical leadership, architectural decision-making, and collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to deliver successful cloud migration and modernization programs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and execute cloud migration strategies, roadmaps, and target architectures for migrating on-premises workloads to Microsoft Azure.

- Lead end-to-end migration of applications, databases, servers, and infrastructure to Azure.

- Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, networking, and governance standards.

- Assess existing IT environments, identify migration dependencies, evaluate application readiness, and recommend appropriate migration approaches.

- Leverage Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Database Migration Service to plan and execute migration activities.

- Design and implement scalable, highly available, resilient, and secure Azure architectures.

- Drive application modernization initiatives using Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, microservices, and containerization.

- Design and manage Azure networking, storage, identity and access management (IAM), and connectivity solutions.

- Establish cloud security controls, governance policies, compliance standards, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.

- Implement monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and operational management strategies for migrated workloads.

- Identify opportunities for cloud cost optimization, resource right-sizing, and improved operational efficiency.

- Use Azure DevOps and GitHub to support infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.

- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, database, cybersecurity, and operations teams to resolve migration challenges.

- Manage migration timelines, dependencies, risks, technical issues, and stakeholder expectations.

- Define migration success criteria and ensure appropriate testing, validation, cutover, and post-migration stabilization.

- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and knowledge transfer to project teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong experience in Azure cloud architecture, cloud transformation, and enterprise migration projects.

- Hands-on experience leading on-premises-to-Azure migrations involving applications, databases, servers, and infrastructure.

- Expertise in Azure Landing Zone design, cloud architecture principles, and enterprise-scale deployments.

- Experience with Azure App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.

- Strong understanding of Azure networking, storage, virtual networks, connectivity, and identity and access management.

- Experience with application modernization, microservices architecture, containers, and cloud-native services.

- Hands-on knowledge of Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Database Migration Service.

- Experience with Azure security, governance, compliance, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.

- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

- Understanding of cloud cost management, resource optimization, monitoring, and operational best practices.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Certifications :

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience leading large-scale enterprise cloud migration or modernization programs.

- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Azure Bicep.

- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration between on-premises infrastructure and Azure.

- Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, identity governance, and enterprise compliance requirements.

- Experience with migration planning, risk assessment, cutover management, and post-migration optimization.
