Cloud Security Engineer - CompTIA Security

Job Summary :

The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience in cloud security, with a strong focus on protecting assets within AWS and Azure environments.

This role is crucial for integrating security best practices into our DevOps lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and safeguarding our applications and data.

Key Responsibilities :

- Work with development teams to integrate security into the DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security is a core part of the software development lifecycle.

- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud resources, SaaS applications, and APIs.

- Assist in defining and enforcing API security policies, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.

- Ensure all cloud environments and applications adhere to compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

- Monitor for security incidents, respond to alerts, and perform initial incident analysis and remediation.

- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to address security vulnerabilities and implement remediation plans.

Required Technical Skills :

- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure, including their native security services (e.g., IAM, Security Hub, Azure Security Center).

- SaaS & API Security: Knowledge of best practices for securing Software as a Service applications and APIs.

- DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with DevOps principles and experience in integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.

- Compliance & Standards: Practical understanding of ISO 27001 and SOC 2 security frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience :

- Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.

- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or AWS Certified

Security - Specialty are highly desirable.
