Role Overview :
Looking for a hands-on Azure Cloud Operations Engineer to act as the single point of contact for Data Analytics teams (~100+ users) and bridge internal stakeholders with the cloud support vendor. The role is highly operational, SLA-driven, and requires strong coordination across infra teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as L1/L2 SPOC for all Azure infra requests, incidents, and queries
- Triage and manage tickets (P1- P4) with strict SLA adherence
- Coordinate with cloud vendor, infra teams (Network, InfoSec, DBA)
- Perform initial troubleshooting for Azure issues (VMs, Databricks, storage, access etc.)
- Track and enforce vendor SLA performance and escalations
- Ensure smooth change management & maintenance coordination
- Monitor Azure environment (compute, storage, DB, networking)
- Support cost optimization (FinOps) and resource usage tracking
- Ensure compliance & audit readiness (RBI/NIST/ISO)
- Maintain documentation, RCA, and operational trackers
Must-Have Skills :
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure (IaaS + PaaS)
- Experience with Databricks, ADLS, Azure SQL / Cosmos DB
- Good understanding of Networking (VNet, NSG, VPN, Firewall)
- Scripting : Python / PowerShell / Bash (any one)
- Monitoring tools : Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow or equivalent)
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem mgmt.)
Mandatory Requirements :
- 3- 6 years in Cloud Operations / Support (L2/L3)
- Azure certification: AZ-104 or AZ-305 (must)
- Experience in BFSI / NBFC / regulated environment (preferred)
Good to Have :
- Terraform / ARM / Bicep
- Azure cost management / FinOps exposure
- Databricks admin experience
- Additional certs: AZ-500 / AZ-400
