About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Leader DevOps (GCP & Automation) to lead the design, implementation, automation, and security of enterprise cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, and cloud security practices. As a Senior Cloud Engineer (L3), you will play a key role in driving cloud modernization initiatives, mentoring engineering teams, implementing automation frameworks, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

- Lead cloud transformation and automation initiatives across cloud and on-premise environments.

- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and related tools.

- Architect, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and GitLab.

- Implement and manage containerized workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

- Develop automation scripts and utilities using Python and Bash.

- Establish cloud security controls, IAM policies, encryption standards, and compliance frameworks.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and reliability.

- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.

- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on DevOps best practices.

- Drive incident resolution and root cause analysis for production issues.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of overall experience in Cloud Engineering and DevOps.

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.

- Strong expertise in the following GCP services :

1. Compute Engine.

2. Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

3. IAM.

4. VPC.

5. Cloud SQL.

6. Cloud Storage.

7. Cloud Functions.

8. Cloud Run.

- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Bash.

- Experience building and managing enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI/CD.

- Good understanding of Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.

- Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity management, encryption, network security, and compliance.

- Experience troubleshooting issues across compute, storage, networking, and container platforms.

- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as :

1. Stackdriver (Google Cloud Monitoring).

2. Prometheus.

3. Grafana.

4. ELK Stack.

Good to Have :

- GCP Professional Certifications such as :

1. Professional Cloud Architect (PCA).

2. Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.

3. Professional Cloud Security Engineer.

- Experience working with AWS services, including AWS Lambda and CloudFormation.

- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

- Experience with Istio, service mesh technologies, and API gateways.

- Understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and regulatory compliance requirements within finance or healthcare domains.
