Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, provision, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and secure GCP cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments.

- Administer and optimize core GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud NAT, Cloud Router, and Cloud DNS.

- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including HCL, reusable modules, variables, remote state, state locking, workspaces, environment management, plan/apply lifecycle, and drift handling.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools to automate infrastructure and application deployments.

- Design and manage cloud networking including VPCs, subnetting, firewall rules, private connectivity, load balancing, DNS, NAT, VPN, Interconnect, Cloud Router, Shared VPC, and hub-and-spoke architectures.

- Monitor and troubleshoot production environments using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, and other observability tools, including incident response, performance optimization, reliability improvement, and root-cause analysis.

- Manage containerized workloads and Kubernetes environments, including deployments, services, ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, autoscaling, and troubleshooting of GKE workloads.

- Implement cloud security best practices including IAM least privilege, service accounts, secrets management, KMS, audit logging, vulnerability awareness, and secure infrastructure design.

- Automate operational tasks and infrastructure processes using Bash, Python, or Go, while maintaining Linux systems and supporting cloud automation initiatives.

- Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and cost optimization while evaluating real-world implementation trade-offs and failure scenarios.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6-12 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience with GCP and cloud infrastructure design and administration.

- Strong knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, VPC, Load Balancers, Cloud NAT, Cloud Router, and Cloud DNS.

- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

- Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC, subnetting, firewall rules, VPN, Interconnect, DNS, NAT, Shared VPC, and hub-spoke architecture.

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization, preferably GKE.

- Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and production troubleshooting.

- Working knowledge of Linux administration and scripting using Bash, Python, or Go.

- Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, service accounts, secrets, KMS, and audit logging.

- Experience with performance, reliability, and cloud cost optimization.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs, and failure scenarios.
