We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer who can design, deploy, and manage cloud environments with a focus on AWS, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and reliability.
Role Overview :
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructures. The role requires hands-on expertise in AWS services, Terraform, CI/CD automation, Linux administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, cost optimization, and cloud security best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployments, infrastructure stability, and high service uptime.
Key Responsibilities :
AWS Cloud Engineering :
- Design, deploy, and manage core AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS or Aurora, Lambda, Route 53, ECS, VPC, IAM, and related services
- Implement and manage containerized workloads on ECS or EC2 environments
- Ensure secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud architectures
- Manage DNS operations and domain configurations using Route 53 and other domain providers
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) :
- Build, maintain, and version cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Develop Terraform modules and manage remote state using S3 and DynamoDB
- Implement Git-based workflow for infrastructure changes and environment provisioning
CI and CD Automation :
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and applications using GitHub Actions
- Automate deployments, testing, and environment provisioning
- Integrate Terraform workflows into CI/CD processes to maintain consistent infrastructure delivery
Reliability, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting :
- Maintain high service uptime with a target of 99.99 percent availability
- Implement observability and monitoring using CloudWatch including logs, metrics, dashboards, and alarms
- Troubleshoot issues related to Linux systems including RHEL and Ubuntu
- Resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and provide timely RCA
Networking and Security :
- Design and manage secure VPC architectures including subnets, NAT gateways, internet gateways, and routing
- Implement least-privilege IAM policies and security best practices
- Configure and manage firewall rules, security groups, and access controls
Administration and Technical Support :
- Manage Google Workspace administration including users, security policies, groups, and configurations
- Handle customer-related technical support within defined SLAs
- Manage activities related to billing, invoicing, and domain renewals through platforms such as GoDaddy, ResellerClub, or equivalent
Cost Optimization :
- Analyze cloud resource usage and implement cost-saving strategies
- Perform EC2 rightsizing, storage optimization, and workload review to reduce monthly compute and operational costs
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer working with AWS
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS or Aurora, Lambda, Route 53, ECS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and networking
- Proficient in Terraform including modules, remote state, and workflow automation
- Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of DNS, networking, and cloud security best practices
- Experience with Docker and container-based deployments
- Experience with customer-facing technical support and SLA-driven service delivery
- Familiarity with Google Workspace administration and domain lifecycle management
- Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications :
- AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator
- Experience working in IT managed services or cloud support environments
- Knowledge of cost monitoring tools and budget governance
