About the Role :
We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Automation Architect with deep expertise in infrastructure automation, cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, and enterprise DevOps practices. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks across AWS and hybrid environments while driving security, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Infrastructure Automation :
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and reusable automation frameworks.
- Automate OS provisioning, patching, configuration management, security hardening, compliance enforcement, and configuration drift remediation.
- Integrate Ansible with Terraform for seamless post-provisioning configuration management.
- Develop advanced automation using Jinja2 templating, dynamic inventory, custom modules, and REST API integrations.
2. AWS Cloud Architecture & Automation :
- Design and implement automation solutions across AWS using Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, and Systems Manager.
- Build secure multi-account automation across AWS Organizations.
- Design IAM policies, cross-account access, networking, and governance aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework, CIS, and NIST standards.
3. Kubernetes & Platform Engineering :
- Build and manage production-grade Kubernetes environments.
- Develop custom Helm charts and manage upgrades, rollbacks, and canary deployments.
- Implement GitOps using ArgoCD or Flux.
- Automate namespace management, RBAC, secrets management, and network policies.
4. Infrastructure as Code :
- Design reusable Terraform modules for AWS Networking, IAM, EKS, ECS, RDS, and Security Controls.
- Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Implement IaC validation, automated testing, linting, drift detection, and policy enforcement.
5. Security & Compliance Automation :
- Automate infrastructure hardening and CIS benchmark enforcement.
- Build automation for vulnerability remediation and certificate lifecycle management.
- Integrate with CyberArk, AWS Secrets Manager, and SSM Parameter Store.
- Implement Policy-as-Code using OPA, Gatekeeper, or Conftest.
6. Observability & Self-Healing Automation :
- Build telemetry-driven automation integrated with monitoring tools.
- Develop self-healing workflows for automated incident detection and remediation.
- Convert operational runbooks into intelligent automation workflows.
7. ITSM & Enterprise Integration :
- Integrate automation with enterprise ITSM platforms.
- Automate ticket creation, approvals, CMDB updates, and change management workflows.
Mandatory Skills & Experience :
- 8+ years of total IT experience with the last 67 years focused on infrastructure automation.
- Expert-level experience with Ansible, including Jinja2 templating, dynamic inventory, custom module development, enterprise playbooks, and roles & collections.
- Strong expertise in Terraform module development and Infrastructure as Code.
- Extensive experience with AWS Cloud Architecture and automation.
- Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience implementing GitOps using ArgoCD or Flux.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, Systems Manager, IAM, EKS, ECS, and RDS.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with enterprise security automation and compliance.
Preferred Skills :
- Policy-as-Code (OPA, Gatekeeper, Conftest).
- IaC Testing Tools (Molecule, Terratest, Checkov, tfsec).
- Multi-account AWS automation.
- Service Mesh (Istio or Linkerd).
- AWS cost optimization automation.
- ITSM integration (SymphonyAI or similar).
- Self-healing infrastructure automation.
- Monitoring & Observability (New Relic, LogicMonitor).
