Job Overview :


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect with 8-13 years of experience to join our product-based company in Pune.


The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions, with a strong focus on either AWS or GCP. You'll be instrumental in shaping our cloud strategy, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring the delivery of robust cloud-native applications.


Key Responsibilities :


Cloud Architecture Design :


- Lead the design and architecture of highly scalable, available, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective cloud solutions primarily on AWS or GCP.

- Define cloud adoption strategies, blueprints, and best practices.

- Ensure architectural designs align with business requirements and future scalability needs.


Implementation & Deployment :

- Oversee and guide the implementation of cloud infrastructure and applications.

- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and operationalization of cloud solutions.

- Drive automation efforts for infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.


Technology Leadership :


- Act as a subject matter expert for cloud technologies (AWS or GCP).


- Evaluate new cloud services and technologies, recommending their adoption where beneficial.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and operations teams.


Performance, Security & Cost Optimization :

- Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of cloud environments.

- Implement and enforce security best practices, compliance standards, and governance policies within the cloud.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives across cloud resources, identifying efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :


- Work closely with product management, engineering leads, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into cloud architectural requirements.


- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

- 8-13 years of total experience in IT, with significant hands-on experience in cloud architecture and engineering.

- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with deep expertise in either AWS or GCP.


Cloud Platform Expertise :


- AWS : Extensive experience with core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, ECS/EKS, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation/CDK, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, API Gateway).

- GCP : Extensive experience with core GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Build, Stackdriver, BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, API Gateway).


Architecture Principles :


- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, serverless, event-driven).


- Proficiency in designing for scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and security in cloud environments.


DevOps & Automation :

- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation/Cloud Deployment Manager).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI).


Networking & Security :


- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, load balancing, private links).


- Experience with cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance frameworks.


Data Management :

- Experience with various cloud database services (relational and NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions.


Problem-Solving :


- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


Communication :

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.


Education :


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.


Preferred Qualifications :

- Relevant AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect certification.

- Experience in a product-based company environment.

- Knowledge of FinOps principles and tools for cloud cost management.

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Scripting proficiency (e.g., Python, Go, Shell).
