Cloud Architect

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect with strong expertise in cloud solution and infrastructure architecture, particularly across AWS and Azure environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing secure, scalable, highly available, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available cloud architectures across AWS and Azure environments.

- Define cloud infrastructure strategies, architecture standards, and best practices.

- Design and manage cloud landing zones, identity and access management, networking, and cloud-native services.

- Develop cloud migration strategies and oversee infrastructure modernization initiatives.

- Ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, governance, performance, and cost-optimization requirements.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment.

- Define and implement cloud security controls, encryption standards, backup strategies, and disaster recovery solutions.

- Establish architecture governance practices and ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements.

- Prepare detailed architecture documentation, solution diagrams, and architecture decision records.

- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver effective cloud solutions.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud technologies, with strong expertise in solution architecture or infrastructure architecture.

- Strong cloud solution architecture experience with deep expertise in AWS and working knowledge of Azure, or vice versa.

- Proven experience designing and delivering production-grade cloud services with a focus on availability, resilience, security, scalability, operability, and cost optimization.

- Hands-on experience with:

1. Cloud landing zones and cloud infrastructure architecture.

2. Identity and Access Management (IAM, Azure AD / Entra ID).

3. Cloud networking, including VPC, Transit Gateway, and VNet Peering.

4. Cloud-native services and migration architecture.

- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment.

- Experience working with formal architecture governance processes and regulated or customer-audited environments.

- Strong understanding of cloud security controls, encryption, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Ability to create architecture documentation, technical diagrams using tools such as draw.io or Lucidchart, and architecture decision records.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Professional-level AWS or Azure architecture certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

- Architecture framework certifications such as TOGAF or AWS Well-Architected.

- Experience in financial services, asset management, or other regulated industries.

- Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost management tools.

- Knowledge of containerization and serverless architectures.

- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
