Job Title : Cloud Application Architect

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Application Architect with 9- 12 years of total experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Cloud Architecture expertise (OCP / Azure) and 5+ years in Service-Oriented and Microservices Architecture.

This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for end-to-end solution design, application modernization, cloud-native development, and driving architectural excellence across enterprise-scale projects.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical capability, strong design acumen, and the ability to influence engineering teams toward best-in-class architectural practices.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Cloud Architecture & Solution Design :

- Architect, design, and implement cloud-native enterprise applications on OpenShift (OCP) and Microsoft Azure.

- Define end-to-end solution architectures including application layers, integrations, data flows, and

deployment topologies.

- Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and high-performance application designs.

- Develop reference architectures, architectural patterns, and reusable components.

2. Application Modernization :

- Lead migration of monolithic applications to microservices-based architectures.

- Drive cloud adoption strategies including containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, serverless components, API-driven development, and event-driven architectures.

- Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native engineering best practices.

3. Technical Leadership :

- Provide architectural governance and review technical solutions proposed by engineering teams.

- Conduct design workshops, architecture whiteboarding, and technical deep dives with stakeholders.

- Mentor cross-functional engineering teams and guide them toward cloud-native patterns, performance optimization, and coding best practices.

4. Integration & API Strategy :

- Define API contracts, integration patterns, and service orchestration using REST, GraphQL, event streaming, and service mesh frameworks.

- Work with enterprise integration platforms and middleware to enable secure, seamless connectivity across systems.

- 5+ years experience in architecting solutions on Azure and/or Red Hat OpenShift (OCP).

Technical Skills Required :

- Hands-on experience with :

1. Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift Operators

2. Azure App Services, AKS, API Management, Event Hub, Azure Functions

3. Messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus)

4. API Gateway & Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd)

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

- Experience with monitoring & logging (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).

- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and automated deployments.

- Strong analytical thinking and architectural decision-making abilities.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to lead conversations with executives, business teams, and technical stakeholders.
