Role Summary :

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer for the backend engineering team in the post-dispatch vertical at ClickPost.

You will be a core member of the team playing a vital role in developing the vertical through product developments, feature additions, scale-up and scale-out enhancements, system reliability and end-to-end user experience enhancements.

What You Will Do :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain backend systems for the post-dispatch vertical, ensuring high reliability and scalability.

- Design and implement features and product enhancements for backend services using Java/Python.

- Manage databases (SQL/NoSQL) efficiently to support high-throughput operations and large-scale data processing.

- Build, maintain, and optimize messaging systems and event-driven pipelines (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for seamless data flow.

- Ensure system reliability, performance tuning, and optimization of backend operations under high-load conditions.

- Take full technical ownership of assigned modules, including addressing support issues, onboarding challenges, and end-to-end delivery of features.

- Participate in the design and implementation of microservices architectures and cloud deployments (AWS/GCP).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product and system improvements, ensuring end-to-end user experience enhancement

Expectations from the Role :

- Proficiency in backend development.

- Strong understanding of backend technologies such as Java/Python, databases, Kafka, messaging systems,etc.

- Ownership: The individual should take full technical ownership of the product, including analyzing support issues, addressing onboarding concerns, and driving feature development.

What You Will Need to Crack This Role :

- Strong backend development experience in Java or Python.

- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.

- Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.

- Ability to take ownership of technical challenges and work independently.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize backend operations.
