Cityflo - Senior Product Engineer - Backend Architecture

Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer (Backend) who thrives at the intersection of product, design, and engineering. Youll be responsible for building end-to-end features from ideation to deployment that directly impact our customers. You will work across backend, DevOps and deployment, collaborating closely with product and design to ship high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with other core business teams to translate business requirements into working features.

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend services using Python (Django) and Golang.

- Architect scalable APIs, data models, and system integrations to support product features.

- Own features end-to-end: from database design, API development, to deployment.

- Ensure backend systems follow best practices for performance, security, reliability, and scalability.

- Leverage AI-assisted coding agents/tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to improve velocity and maintain code quality.

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-functional collaborations.

- Continuously explore and integrate new technologies to improve product and engineering workflows.

Requirements :

- Strong product mindset: ability to balance technical trade-offs with user/business impact.

- Strong expertise in backend engineering with Python (Django) and Golang.

- Solid understanding of API design (REST/GraphQL), authentication, and system integrations.

- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, etc.).

- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD, and containerization (Docker).

- Hands-on experience with scalable system design and distributed architectures.

- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).

- Proven ability to work independently, own features, and mentor junior engineers.
