OpenTelemetry & Collector Engineer

About the Role :

We are seeking an OpenTelemetry & Collector Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise observability solutions. This role focuses on telemetry collection architecture, collector deployments, enrichment strategies, and performance optimization across hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and maintain OpenTelemetry architectures and standards.

- Deploy and manage Windows and Linux collectors.

- Configure telemetry pipelines, parsing, enrichment, and labeling.

- Implement dual-export and multi-destination telemetry strategies.

- Optimize collector performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Support tracing, metrics, and logging initiatives.

- Establish observability best practices and governance.

Required Skills :

- Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry architecture and collectors.

- Experience with Windows and Linux administration.

- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Datadog, Splunk, or similar platforms.

- Understanding of distributed tracing and telemetry pipelines.

- Experience with log parsing, enrichment, and transformation.

- Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in large-scale observability deployments.

- Kubernetes and cloud-native monitoring experience.

- Performance engineering expertise.
