Role Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior PHP Developer to join our development team in Tiruchirappalli. The ideal candidate will be responsible for backend and fullstack development using modern PHP frameworks and technologies. The role involves creating scalable applications, maintaining existing systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities (KRA) :

- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend components using PHP (Laravel, CodeIgniter)

- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

- Design and implement APIs and ensure seamless data exchange

- Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and security

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose adoption when appropriate

- Work closely with the QA team to ensure high-quality deliverables

- Manage time effectively and deliver on-time project milestones

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming (OOP)

- Hands-on experience with Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks

- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design principles

- Familiarity with fullstack development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs

- Experience in software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies

- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Experience in the tourism industry is a plus

Nice to Have :

- Working knowledge of version control tools like Git

- Familiarity with cloud services and deployment processes
