Sr. Data Scientist

Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in developing machine learning and deep learning models, with a strong focus on text analytics and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end ownership - from understanding requirements to designing, developing, and delivering scalable AI solutions. You'll work on cutting-edge projects involving NLP, text analytics, and text generation, while mentoring junior team members and contributing to the innovation culture at ChiStats.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Design and implement innovative machine learning and deep learning solutions, particularly in NLP and text analytics.

- Build, train, and validate models for text analytics, NLP, and text generation tasks.

- Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and statistical modeling.

- Evaluate model performance and conduct experiments for optimization and fine-tuning.

- Communicate findings, insights, and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Stay current with advancements in machine learning, NLP, and GenAI technologies.

- Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

Required Skill Set :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.

- Proven expertise in text analytics, NLP, machine learning, and deep learning.

- Proficient in Python and associated libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, NLTK, spaCy).

- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

- Experience using Hugging Face Transformers for training, fine-tuning, and validation.

- Strong understanding and practical experience with models like BERT, T5, BART, or FLAN-T5.

- Experience in hyperparameter tuning and model optimization in at least one real-world project.

Good-to-Have Skill Set :

- In-depth understanding of transformer architectures and advanced NLP techniques.

- Experience working with generative models (e.g., GANs, VAEs, GPT).

- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or related GenAI development frameworks.

- Experience designing RAG pipelines and multi-agentic AI solutions.

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for model deployment.
