CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (CTO)

ROLE OVERVIEW

A leading regulated financial services organisation is looking for a strategic yet hands-on Chief Technology Officer to lead technology strategy, digital transformation, technology operations and governance. The role will partner closely with the MD and senior Business, Credit, Risk and Operations leadership to build scalable, secure and business-oriented technology capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technology Strategy & Transformation :

- Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business strategy.

- Lead major transformation/modernisation initiatives including LOS, LMS, cloud and digital platforms.

- Build scalable technology architecture to support business growth.

2. Lending Technology :

- Drive technology solutions across the lending lifecycle.

- Bring strong understanding of lending platforms, processes and technology architecture.

- Partner with Business, Credit, Risk and Operations to improve customer and operational outcomes.

3. IT Operations :

- Own Applications, Infrastructure and IT Operations.

- Ensure availability, reliability, cybersecurity and business continuity of critical systems.

4. IT Governance & Regulatory :

- Lead technology governance, controls, risk management and regulatory compliance.

- Manage RBI/IT audits and closure of technology-related observations.

5. Vendors, Partners & Budget :

- Manage strategic technology vendors and partners.

- Drive technology budgeting, investments, sourcing and commercial negotiations.

6. Leadership & Stakeholder Management :

- Lead and develop the technology team.

- Work closely with senior management to translate business priorities into practical technology solutions.

IDEAL PROFILE

- Engineering / Computer Science / IT graduate; PG in Technology, Computer Science or Management-IT preferred.

- 12 - 20 years of technology/IT experience.

- 8+ years in Banks, NBFCs or regulated financial services.

- 3 - 5+ years of technology experience supporting lending businesses; deeper end-to-end lending technology exposure preferred.

- Experience in organisations of meaningful scale : NBFC ?2,500 Cr+, MF AUM ?5,000 Cr+, Broking 4 lakh+ clients or Banks of any size.

- Strong governance, risk and regulatory orientation.

- Strategic, pragmatic, decisive and execution-focused leadership style.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
