Chief Technology Officer - Enterprise System

Role Overview :

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the strategic technology direction of our company, with a deep focus on delivering enterprise-grade solutions to clients in the Legal and Professional Services industry.

The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise, executive-level industry relationships (especially within Am Law firms), and strategic business acumen to drive product innovation, operational excellence, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities :

- Technology Leadership: Set the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap across all products and platformsensuring scalability, security, and performance.

- Product Innovation: Lead the development of cutting-edge SaaS and PaaS solutions using Microsoft Azure, .NET Core, React, OpenAI, Python, and Power Platform technologies.

- Industry Influence: Leverage existing high-level relationships (C-Level, COOs at Am Law firms) to inform product strategy and drive business development.

- AI & Microsoft Ecosystem Expertise: Drive innovation using Microsoft 365 (Teams, Viva, Planner, etc.), SharePoint, Generative AI, and Microsoft Power Platform.

- Revenue & Operations Oversight: Contribute to GTM strategies and oversee the technical organization supporting a $7M+ ARR business (preferred).

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Sales, and Executive Leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals.

- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing engineering and IT team. Mentor leaders and instill a strong engineering culture.

- Public & Client Representation: Represent the organization in client meetings, industry events, and conferencesmaintaining a strong, professional public presence.

- Strategic Planning: Make informed decisions on build vs. buy, cloud adoption, vendor selection, and platform modernization.

- Agility & Commitment: Willingness to work extended or flexible hours to meet strategic goals and critical timelines.

Required Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure PaaS/SaaS, .NET Core (WebAPI), Python, React, Angular, TypeScript, and OpenAI microservices.

- Strong background in building scalable enterprise systems in the Microsoft ecosystem.

- In-depth experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 Suite, Power Platform, and Generative AI applications.

Industry Network :

- Established senior-level connections within Am Law 100/200 firmsideally at the COO or equivalent level.

Leadership Experience :

- Proven experience in a CTO/CIO capacity managing high-growth SaaS businesses ($7M+ ARR).

- Strong track record of scaling technical teams and building robust engineering organizations.

Business Acumen :

- Solid understanding of SaaS metrics, budgeting, cost optimization, and revenue growth strategy.

- Ability to align technology goals with broader business objectives.

Soft Skills :

- Exceptional critical thinking, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.

- Professional image with strong public speaking presence.

Nice to Have :

- Prior experience working in or serving LegalTech, Professional Services, or Enterprise SaaS domains.

- Exposure to modern DevOps practices and data security/compliance standards relevant to legal firms.

- Familiarity with M365 Copilot and advanced use of AI/LLM tools in enterprise environments.
