We are looking for a Backend Architect who will take full ownership of product/project areas, from shaping architecture and driving execution to ensuring operational excellence in production.

This role demands a rare blend of hands-on technical depth, product thinking, and leadership across multiple backend teams.

You will act as the technical owner of core systems, accountable for design, delivery, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

You'll guide engineers, influence product decisions, and ensure the backend ecosystem grows in a structured and sustainable way.

You will also drive the integration of GenAI capabilities into products to improve intelligence, automation, and user experience.

Responsibilities :

- Own product backend vision, architecture implementation, release, scale health.

- Lead squads across the product lifecycle planning, execution, delivery, and continuous improvement.

- Defines service boundaries, API contracts, data flows, and long-term technical strategy.

- Partner with Product Management to shape roadmaps and make feasibility-driven decisions.

- Enforce observability, resilience, security, high availability, and disaster recovery standards.

- Drive performance engineering, scalability improvements, and cost optimization on the cloud.

- Champion backend quality testing strategies, operational automation, and CI/CD maturity.

- Lead technical reviews, coaching sessions, and unblock teams on complex engineering problems.

- Reduce tech debt through intentional modernization initiatives and migration strategies.

- Use metrics (SLOs, error budgets, DORA metrics, etc.) to drive engineering improvements.

- Identify opportunities to adopt cutting-edge GenAI tooling, LLM APIs, embeddings, RAG workflows, agents, and ensure smooth implementation.

Requirements :

- Hands-on experience in GenAI integrating AI models into applications, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, or automation using LLMs.

- Stack can be any strong backend ecosystem : Node.js / Go / Java / .NET / Python.

Deep Knowledge In :

- Distributed systems + event-driven architecture(Kafka / Streaming platforms).

- API design REST, GraphQL, versioning, governance.

- Relational + NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance tuning.

- Caching strategies (Redis/Memcached), queueing, and asynchronous workflows.

- Containerization, Kubernetes orchestration in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Monitoring, alerting, loggingend-to-end observability.

- Secure coding, IAM, VPC networking, audit, and compliance considerations.

- Solid understanding of how to measure AI performance, latency, accuracy, guardrails, and cost optimization.

Strong Fundamentals :

- Design patterns, DDD, clean architecture.

- Fault tolerance, backpressure, graceful degradation.

Team And Leadership Accountability :

- Work with Engineering Managers to define scope, timelines, and delivery goals.

- Be the final technical authority on backend decisions within your product space.

- Mentor senior engineers into independent technical leads.

- Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous learning.

- Influence hiring, tech evaluations, and capability building for backend teams.

- Drive post-incident reviews and long-term preventive solutions.
