CAW Studios - Software Engineer II - MERN Stack

Description :

We are looking for Fullstack MERN developers (3- 6 years) with strong experience in Node.js + React.js, capable of building features end-to-end, solving problems with scalable solutions, and contributing to high-quality product development. You will work across the stack backend, frontend, APIs, and basic architecture.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

- Build full-stack features from scratch using Node.js, React.js, and modern design principles.

- Create reusable, performant React components using hooks and state management.

- Implement and integrate real-time features using WebSockets, Socket.io, or event streams.

- Work with event-driven architectures, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS), and async processing.

- Design and consume REST APIs, ensuring smooth data flow between frontend and backend.

- Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance issues, and production bottlenecks.

- Contribute to basic system designAPI design, DB schemas, caching, queues, scaling basics.

- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality across the stack.

- Work with CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and monitoring systems.

Requirements :

- 3- 6 years of hands-on experience in Node.js + React.js with strong feature development exposure.

- Ability to independently pick up a requirement and deliver fully from design to deployment.

- Experience in SaaS, consumer apps, or distributed systems is a strong plus.

Technical Skillset :

- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.

- Hands-on experience with ReactJS (hooks, lifecycle, performance optimizations).

- Experience with Node frameworks like NestJS (preferred but optional).

- Strong understanding of event-driven systems, WebSockets, real-time updates, and queues.

- Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch).

- Familiarity with caching (Redis), rate limiting, and API performance optimization.

- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and serverless basics.

- Familiarity with logging/monitoring tools like Sentry, CloudWatch, and ELK.

- Experience with CI/CD, pipelines, containers, and DevOps workflows.
