Role Description :

This is a full-time Backend Engineer role at Cautio located in Bengaluru. We're looking for a talented backend engineer to design and build the robust foundation of our SaaS platform. You'll architect scalable microservices on AWS and implement serverless solutions.

As a founding backend engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the back-end systems and infrastructure of our platform. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to design and implement scalable and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Design and develop highly available and performant microservices using Node.js.

- Leverage AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.) to build serverless architectures.

- Implement secure and robust RESTful APIs to power the frontend experience.

- Manage data streams from IoT devices, ensuring reliable data ingestion and processing.

- Ensure code quality through unit testing and code reviews.

- Collaborate with frontend engineers and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

Ideal Candidate :

- 3 years of experience building backend systems in a product-based company.

- Solid foundation in Node.js and experience building scalable APIs.

- Deep understanding of AWS services, with a focus on serverless technologies.

- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required.

Bonus :

- Experience with a type-safe language (TypeScript, Java, C++, etc.).

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

- Credible open-source contributions.
