Job Title : SDE II Java/JEE Full Stack Developer

Location : Bengaluru

Department : Core Services Engineering

Experience : 4- 6 Years


Role Overview :

We are looking for a passionate and skilled SDE II (Java/JEE Full Stack Developer) with strong backend development experience in Java (Spring Boot) and exposure to Node.js or other modern frameworks. The role will involve working on media-centric, scalable microservices powering our OTT platform, including content ingestion, playback APIs, personalisation, and user engagement workflows. Experience with cloud-native architectures (GCP or AWS) is preferred.


Key Responsibilities :

- Develop backend services using Java Spring Boot, Vert.x and contribute to scalable microservices design.

- Implement APIs and backend workflows for media processing, metadata handling, and playback features.

- Work closely with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver robust, production-ready features.

- Ensure code quality through unit testing, peer reviews, and best practices.

- Participate in sprint planning, effort estimation, and continuous improvement activities.


Required Skills :

- 4- 6 years of experience in Java backend development using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.

- Experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.

- Exposure to GCP or AWS cloud platformsexperience with Kafka, Redis, or Pub/Sub is a plus.

- Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other DevOps tools.

- Knowledge of media streaming, DRM, or OTT backend architecture is a plus.


Soft Skills :

- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Willingness to take ownership of modules and features.

- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Agile mindset with experience in Scrum or Kanban environments
