Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Software Developer with 7+ years of hands-on experience to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex frontend applications and is expected to onboard and contribute quickly from the start of the engagement.

This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and product managers. The role operates under close supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment, and all technical deliverables are expected to align with defined project requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance frontend applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.js.

- Participate in software design meetings and analyse user needs to determine technical requirements.

- Translate business and user requirements into scalable and maintainable frontend solutions.

- Collaborate with backend engineers, UX designers, and product owners to deliver end-to-end features.

- Write clean, well-structured, and well-documented code that adheres to team coding standards.

- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

- Identify, debug, and resolve frontend performance issues and application defects.

- Contribute to test automation efforts and maintain test suites using Cypress.

- Monitor application behaviour and analyse logs using Splunk or similar tools.

- Work within an agile environment and actively participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.

Primary Skills (Must-have / Mandatory) :

- JavaScript : Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript(ES6+), including asynchronous programming, closures, and DOM manipulation.

- TypeScript : Hands-on experience building type-safe applications with TypeScript; familiarity with interfaces, generics, and type configurations.

- React.js : Proven experience developing and maintaining production-grade React applications; solid grasp of hooks, state management, component lifecycle, and performance optimisation.

Secondary Skills (Good-to-have / Optional) :

- Angular.js : Prior exposure to AngularJS, formaintaining or working with legacy frontend applications.

- Splunk : Familiarity with Splunk for application monitoring, log analysis, and performance tracking.

- Cypress : Experience in writing and managing end-to-end test cases using Cypress.

- AI Tools : Comfortably use AI-powered development tools, such as GitHub Copilot or similar, to improve development efficiency.

Experience Requirements :

- 7+ years of total software development experience, with a minimum of 7 years dedicated to frontend development.

- Prior experience working on complex, large-scale frontend applications in a production environment.

- Demonstrated ability to quickly onboard into existing codebases and deliver value from the early stages of the engagement.

- Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies and related ceremonies.
