Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced JFrog Artifactory Engineer to join our dynamic DevOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Artifactory infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline the software release process and improve overall efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing our CI/CD pipelines and enabling faster, more reliable software deployments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain JFrog Artifactory infrastructure to support software development and deployment processes.
- Configure and manage Artifactory repositories, including local, remote, and virtual repositories, to ensure efficient artifact storage and retrieval.
- Integrate Artifactory with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps to automate software builds, testing, and releases.
- Implement and enforce security policies and access controls within Artifactory to protect sensitive artifacts and prevent unauthorized access.
- Monitor Artifactory performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance and support on Artifactory usage and best practices.
- Automate Artifactory administration tasks using scripting languages like Python or Groovy to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Manage and maintain integrations with other DevOps tools such as GitHub and SonarQube to ensure seamless workflow.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Artifactory configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage JFrog Artifactory in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Proven expertise in integrating Artifactory with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools, including GitHub, SonarQube, and Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps principles.
- Excellent scripting skills in languages such as Python or Groovy for automating Artifactory administration tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Artifactory performance and availability.
- Solid understanding of security best practices and access control mechanisms.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Adaptable to working in a remote/hybrid environment.
