CapeStart - PHP Developer - Laravel/Symfony

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PHP Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performing web applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in backend development using PHP, database design with MySQL, and be comfortable working on the frontend with JavaScript frameworks. Familiarity with API development, cloud-based infrastructure, and DevOps practices is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable web applications using PHP.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Write clean, well-structured, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.

- Build and maintain MySQL databases, including query optimization and data integrity assurance.

- Work on frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular).

- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and external services.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems and applications.

- Ensure application performance, security, and responsiveness.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.

- Work with version control systems like Git.

- Optional but desirable: contribute to DevOps processes including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Role :

- Develop, test, and maintain PHP-based web applications.

- Design and optimize database schemas using MySQL

- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs.

- Implement security best practices and performance optimizations.

- Debug and resolve technical issues in applications.

- Participate in code reviews, Agile processes, and CI/CD workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- 3-5 years of professional experience in PHP development.

- Proficiency in MySQL or other relational databases.

- Experience working with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, or Angular).

- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

- Knowledge of MVC frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
