We are looking for a skilled Data SRE with 5 -7 years of experience to join our Data Warehouse BizOps team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting applications and platforms, with a specific focus on the Data Delivery and Analytics program. This is a hands-on role where you will be instrumental in improving the reliability and customer experience of our applications. You will work within a global team, providing a feedback loop to our development partners, and helping to solve problems by applying a holistic, systematic approach to incident management and automation.

Key Responsibilities :

Lifecycle Management :

- You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of services, from inception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement.

- You will support services before they go live by consulting on system design, capacity planning, and launch reviews.

Operational Analysis :

- Analyze ITSM activities and provide a feedback loop to development teams on operational gaps and resiliency concerns.

- You'll work to evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.

Monitoring and Automation :

- Maintain services by measuring and monitoring their availability, latency, and overall health.

- You will scale systems sustainably through automation and other mechanisms.

Incident Response :

- Practice sustainable incident response and perform blameless post-mortems.

- You will take a holistic approach to problem-solving, connecting the dots through the various technology stacks to optimize the mean time to recover.

CI/CD and DevOps :

- Support the application's CI/CD pipeline and lead the adoption of DevOps best practices.

Collaboration :

- Work with a global team across different geographies and time zones. You will be expected to share knowledge and mentor junior resources.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Experience :

- 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar role.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Unix, SQL, and Python.

- Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.

Professional Attributes :

- Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, and software design.

- A systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership.

- The ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.

- Experience with difficult situations and making decisions with a sense of urgency.

- A strong interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Apache Nifi.

- Experience in one or more of the following languages : C, C++, Java, Go, Perl, or Ruby.

- A background in industry-standard CI/CD tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef.

- Experience designing and implementing an effective and efficient CI/CD flow.
