Role : Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst with a strong background in Banking and Financial Markets. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in data analysis, financial reporting, data migration, and governance, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality across large-scale transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define, gather, and validate source data required to deliver actionable insights and business use cases.

- Determine appropriate data mappings to integrate multiple datasets across diverse systems.

- Translate data flows from legacy systems to strategic target platforms, ensuring seamless migration.

- Propose and validate data migration sets with stakeholders to support business objectives.

- Support execution of migration activities, including planning, tracking, and coordinating migration teams.

- Develop and maintain migration run-books, ensuring accuracy and completeness of scope for each customer.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risks and avoid negative business/customer impacts.

- Ensure compliance with control requirements surrounding data handling and security.

- Continuously identify opportunities to deliver strategic/optimal solutions, avoiding tactical or short-term fixes.

Role Requirements :

- Strong experience in Data Analysis with Financial Reporting in Banking/Financial Markets.

- Hands-on experience with data models, data dictionaries, and reference data.

- Domain knowledge in one or more areas :

- Party/Client Data

- Finance & Reporting

- Instruments & Pricing

- Market and/or Credit Risk Data

- Market data vendor integrations (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv).

- Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate across business, compliance, and technology teams.

- Strong knowledge of data quality, governance, and controls.

Technical Skills :

- SQL (strong proficiency in writing queries).

- Python / PySpark knowledge preferred.

- Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem (HIVE, Scala, big data platforms).

- Experience with tools such as Hive, CMD, Putty, Note++.

- Strong Excel (advanced functions, VBA coding).

- Experience with XML processing and flattening.

- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and governance processes.

- Exposure to SDLC, Agile practices, JIRA & Confluence (mandatory).
