We are seeking a skilled Wireless Network Engineer with 35 years of hands-on experience in networking, particularly in Wi-Fi technologies and 802.11 standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade wireless networks.

You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance network performance, improve reliability, and contribute to the development of advanced wireless solutions.

This position requires strong analytical skills, deep technical expertise in wireless and network technologies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Wireless Network Engineering :

- Design, configure, and deploy wireless network solutions based on 802.11 standards (WiFi 5/6/6E/7).

- Perform wireless site surveys, RF planning, and spectrum analysis to ensure optimal coverage and performance.

- Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, roaming, interference, and performance issues.

- Implement and manage wireless security protocols including WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X authentication, and other enterprise Wi-Fi security measures.

- Work with Mesh and OpenRoaming technologies to enhance wireless scalability and user experience.

Network Operations & Troubleshooting :

- Manage and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network components including Ethernet, VLANs, STP, ARP, LACP, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, and QoS.

- Diagnose and resolve network performance issues by analyzing logs, packet captures, and system metrics.

- Collaborate with security teams to manage firewalls, ACLs, VPN technologies (L2tpv3, IPSec, GRE), and IDS/IDP systems.

Network Automation & Application Development :

- Develop or maintain network automation scripts and tools using Python, Go, or C.

- Build integrations and network applications using REST APIs, gNMI, Telegraf, and other telemetry protocols.

- Work with Linux-based systems, focusing on kernel and userspace networking modules.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Work with hardware, software, QA, and product teams to validate wireless features and enhancements.

- Participate in design discussions, architecture reviews, and product development cycles.

- Document network configurations, test plans, deployment guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Technical Skills :

Wireless & RF Technologies :

- Strong understanding of 802.11 standards (WiFi 5/6/6E/7).

- Hands-on experience with WPA2/WPA3, Mesh networking, OpenRoaming, roaming optimization, and RF tuning.

Layer 3 Networking :

- IPv4/IPv6 addressing and routing fundamentals

- DHCP, QoS, 802.1x authentication

Layer 2 Networking :

- Ethernet, VLANs, STP, ARP, LACP

Network Security :

- Firewalls, Access Control Lists (ACLs)

- L2tpv3, IPSec, GRE tunneling

- IDS/IDP technologies

Network Application & Automation :

- Experience with REST APIs, gNMI, Telegraf

- Programming skills in C, Go, Python

- Familiarity with automation, telemetry, and monitoring tools

Operating Systems :

- Strong working knowledge of Linux kernel and userspace networking components

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :
