- BE, BTech, MCA, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field with 3+ years of hands-on experience in C programming in a Linux/Unix environment.

- Strong command of Data Structures and Algorithms.

- Experience in DataCom / Networking Protocols development (e.g., TCP/IP, routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP, switching, VLAN, STP, or similar L2/L3 technologies).

- Hands-on experience with Bash/Shell scripting for automation and diagnostics.

- Strong debugging skills using tools such as GDB, and experience with core dump/crash analysis.

- Good understanding of socket programming and inter-process communication.

- Familiarity with Makefiles, version control (Git/SVN), and Linux build systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain networking/protocol software modules in C.

- Work on DataCom domain features such as L2/L3 protocols, routing, switching, or related network stacks.

- Develop, debug, and support software components in Linux/Unix environments.

- Write and maintain Bash/Shell scripts for build automation, testing, and diagnostics.

- Apply strong data structures and algorithms knowledge to build efficient, low-latency protocol implementations.

- Perform unit testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis (including core dump/log analysis) of defects.

- Collaborate with QA and systems engineering teams on protocol validation and interoperability testing.

- Document design specifications, protocol behavior, and technical implementation details.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to protocol stacks such as MPLS, SNMP, or multicast protocols.

- Experience with network simulators/emulators or hardware test benches.

- Familiarity with embedded systems or driver-level development.

- Knowledge of networking hardware/ASIC concepts.
