Role & Responsibilities :

- Lead the development and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) strategies, dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions aligned with business objectives.

- Manage and mentor a team of BI analysts, developers, and/or data professionals, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

- Partner with business stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product, and Leadership to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.

- Design and maintain executive dashboards, MIS reports, KPIs, and performance scorecards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

- Drive data-driven decision-making by identifying trends, opportunities, risks, and business performance gaps through data analysis.

- Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting pipelines to ensure reliable and scalable analytics.

- Establish and maintain data governance, data quality, reporting standards, and BI best practices.

- Collaborate with Data Engineering and IT teams to integrate data from multiple sources and improve data accessibility and reliability.

- Monitor BI platform performance, troubleshoot reporting/data issues, and ensure timely resolution of critical problems.

- Define and track business KPIs, ensuring consistency in metric definitions and reporting across departments.

- Evaluate new BI technologies, tools, and analytical approaches to continuously improve the organization's reporting and analytics capabilities.

- Present key insights and recommendations to senior management and business leadership in a clear and actionable manner.

- Manage BI projects end-to-end, including requirement gathering, planning, prioritization, execution, UAT, deployment, and post-production support.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- 8 - 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, MIS, Reporting, or a related field, with relevant experience in a managerial or team-lead capacity.

- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar BI platforms.

- Excellent proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, and query optimization.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and database concepts.

- Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.

- Strong understanding of data visualization, dashboard design, KPI development, and storytelling with data.

- Experience managing and mentoring BI/analytics teams and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.

- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions and actionable insights.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to senior leadership.

- Experience managing multiple BI projects and priorities in a fast-paced business environment.

- Knowledge of Python/R, advanced analytics, or AI/ML would be an added advantage.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline; a Master's/MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
