Job Title : BSS Operations Lead

Location : Bangalore

Role Summary :

We are looking for a BSS Operations Lead to manage end-to-end BSS operations, including provisioning, charging, order-to-activation flows, and product catalog management. The role involves monitoring system performance, resolving operational issues, and coordinating with engineering and vendor teams to ensure seamless service delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong telecom domain expertise, hands-on BSS experience, and familiarity with modern telecom technologies including LTE/5G.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the BSS operations team and handle day-to-day operational requirements.

- Monitor and manage Order-to-Activation (O2A) processes and proactively resolve operational issues.

- Collaborate with engineering and vendor teams to design solutions and troubleshoot system issues.

- Manage BSS components including CRM, Mediation, OCS, Rating, Billing, Collections, Orchestration, Provisioning/Activation for prepaid and postpaid services.

- Ensure smooth functioning of product catalog, prepaid recharge, wallet, and voucher management systems.

- Maintain strong understanding of end-to-end telecom processes across Fulfilment, Assurance, Inventory Management, and Product Catalog.

- Conduct testing, validation, and reporting to ensure high-quality operations and compliance with SLAs.

- Identify system issues, propose improvements, and implement process automation wherever possible.

- Support integration with 4G/5G Core network elements and cloud-based BSS solutions.

- Document operational procedures, create reports, and provide knowledge transfer to team members.

Mandatory Skills :

- 8 to 12 years of telecom experience with minimum 3 years in BSS operations

- Hands-on experience with Billing, Charging, Mediation, Order Management, and Provisioning/Activation

- Strong SQL and UNIX/Linux skills

- Knowledge of prepaid/postpaid services, wallet, voucher, and product catalog management

- Experience with Order-to-Activation flows, service provisioning, and SLA-based incident handling

- Familiarity with SOAP UI, Postman, JIRA, Wireshark, and API testing

- Experience in Agile/Waterfall project methodologies

Preferred/Strong Skills :

- Exposure to LTE/5G onboarding, eSIM, FWA, Mobility devices, and 3GPP/IETF charging principles

- Hands-on experience with OSS/BSS integration, inventory management, and orchestration tools

- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, Docker, containerization, and cloud deployments

- Experience with Mavenir or Amdocs BSS products

- Understanding of network elements such as HLR, HSS, UDR, SMSC, Entitlement Servers, and SMDP+

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills

- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
